Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Some of the approximately 800 members of St. John Migingo community in Kisumu County could afford to buy water from expensive local vendors. But for everyone else, their only water sources were small lakes and a river. These options weren't safe for human consumption so people were constantly fearful of contracting diarrheal diseases. To provide safe and affordable water to the community, Lifewater Canada donors generously funded the drilling of a well and installation of a hand-powered pump. About 200 grateful families are benefiting each day.
