Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)
About 800 children and adults in Achego were struggling to survive without safe water for more than two months after the hand pump on their community well stopped functioning. Residents had to drink from a nearby river. This water is dirty, so it led to the spread of waterborne diseases, especially among the youngest girls and boys. But thanks to our donors, Lifewater has replaced the broken hand pump and given grateful community members renewed access to safe water.
