A message from the community

The Kokonya Community is so thankful to the Lifewater Canada team for the replacement of our hand pump. It is a blessing to have clean and safe water for use in our homes. Thanks a lot. -- Community Leader

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Kakonya Community in Kisumu County has a reliable source of safe water, thanks to the local well. However, when the well's hand pump broke down for a week, children and adults were forced to drink from the nearest rivers. These sources are contaminated, so the community was living every day in fear of contracting waterborne diseases. But thanks to our generous donors, Lifewater has replaced the broken hand pump. The grateful community is now getting safe water again.
