A message from the community

Kacholla community is grateful for the rehabilitation of our communal well and hand pump. We did not have clean and safe water for over a month. We are happy to have it again. -- Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Kacholla community in Kisumu County had no safe water for more than a month after the hand pump on the local well stopped functioning. Children and adults had to drink from nearby swamps -- putting themselves at great risk of contracting potentially diarrheal diseases. Thankfully, Lifewater Canada funded a rehabilitation of the well, including replacing the hand pump. Everyone has safe water again.
