When the hand pump on Kamire's community well stopped working, children and adults could no longer drink safe water. Residents were afraid because although recent flooding meant there was lots of surface water, consuming it put people at great risk of diarrheal diseases. This is why when community leaders asked for help, Lifewater Canada responded swiftly by replacing the hand pump and rehabilitating the well. Now, thanks to our donors, there is safe water for everyone in Kamire.
