A message from the community

The Kokwara community wishes to say thank you to Lifewater Canada for the service done on our broken hand pump. Thanks to the initiative, we now have clean water. Thank you lots. -- Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Children and adults in Kokwara community in Kisumu County did not have safe water for years after the hand pump on their local well broke down. Everyone had to drink from and bathe in nearby rivers -- putting the entire village of more than 1,000 people at risk of contracting diarrheal diseases. Recently, thanks to our generous donors, Lifewater replaced the hand pump and rehabilitated the well. Safe and easily accessible water is flowing again for everyone in Kokwara.
