A message from the community

Mbega Kounda Community in Kisumu County is grateful for the replacement of our hand pump. Thanks to the Lifewater team, we now have clean water. -- Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

There was no safe water in Mbega Kounda after the hand-powered pump on the community's only well stopped working. Children and adults were forced to walk to and from contaminated rivers, which led to the spread of water-borne diseases. Thankfully, Lifewater Canada has replaced the broken hand pump, enabling the community to have safe water again. We thank our donors for this.
