When the hand-powered pump on the local well stopped working, more than 1,000 children and adults no longer had access to safe water. They had to begin drinking from contaminated sources and risking the possibility of contracting diarrheal diseases. But thanks to our donors, Lifewater has repaired the pump so residents have safe water from their well again.
