A message from the community

We the members of Kasaye community feel overwhelmed with joy after the repair of our hand pump. We thank you for bringing back clean water to our village. -- Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Janet Yugi, a community leader in Kasaye, was one of more than 1,000 adults and children who were affected by the scarcity of safe water after the hand pump on the village's only well stopped functioning. Janet says mothers were deeply concerned for the health of their children who, when thirsty, would drink from any available water source -- no matter how dirty. But recently, Lifewater visited the community and repaired the broken pump. Safe water is available to everyone again.
