A message from the community

We are so grateful to Lifewater Canada for the repair of our broken hand pump and the subsequent provision of clean and safe water. Thank you for being there for us. -- Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Residents of Kawuor lived in fear for their lives after they were forced to begin drinking dirty water when the hand pump on their only well broke down. Japheth Onyango, a community leader, says it was common to see children and adults walking for several kilometers in search of safe water, then end up drinking from a contaminated river. Therefore, it was a relief to everyone when Lifewater donors enabled us to repair the hand pump and restore safe water to the entire community.
