A message from the community

The 600 people living in Kongidi in Kisumu County have a communal well to meet their water needs. When the well's hand pump became dysfunctional, children and adults resorted to drinking from the nearby river, which put everyone at risk of contracting potentially deadly diarrheal diseases. Recently, through the generosity of our donors, Lifewater repaired the pump. The community well is providing safe water to everyone again.
