A message from the community

The Makodemba community is so grateful because we have clean and safe water, thanks to the repair service rendered to our pump by the Lifewater Canada team. May God bless you. -- Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

About 50 families live in Makodemba, in Kenya's Kisumu County. All of them were forced to begin walking to and from the nearest river for their water after the hand pump on the village's only well failed. The river water is dirty so it put children and adults at constant risk for several months of contracting diarrheal diseases. Recently, thanks to our donors, Lifewater repaired the pump. Residents are getting all the safe water they need again from their community well.
