A message from the community

We feel so lucky to have the repair team work on our broken hand pump and ensure we have clean and safe water. We thank you, Lifewater Canada, for making this happen. God bless you. -- Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

A growing number of children and adults living in Ngutu were suffering from stomach aches and diarrhea in the months after the hand pump on the community's only water well failed, forcing everyone to rely on unsafe sources to meet their drinking and hygiene needs. Therefore, there was widespread relief and joy after Lifewater, through the generosity of our donors, repaired the broken pump and restored the well to working order. "We (adults) had suffered for so long -- not just from our own sickness but also from watching our children suffer," says John, a resident. "We are blessed to have clean water again."
