A message from the community

On behalf of the Nyatege Primary School community, I wish to express our gratitude to the Lifewater Canada team for repairing the school's hand pump. The repair has given us the chance to get safe drinking water. Thank you lots. -- Headteacher

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

For two long months, students and staff at Nyatege Primary School had no access to safe drinking water after the hand pump on the school's only water well stopped functioning. Boys and girls would spend eight hours in their classrooms and on the playground, under a hot African sun, with no water because the only available sources were contaminated. But thanks to our donors, Lifewater has repaired the broken pump. Students and staff are again enjoying safe water from their well.
