A message from the community
Dear Lifewater & Sponsor, I have lived in this community for 60 years now. I am a farmer, and I have 12 children, we all live close. I like living here because we are very close to the ocean, and most people make a living by fishing. I am a farmer and a member of Balan Evangelic church. After the pump broke down we had to start walking around 30 minutes to get safe water from another well. You can imagine how much time our women and girls were spending each day, energy not available for school and other household tasks. Approximately 1,500 people live in this community and will have access again to the replaced pump. We will look after the well and keep the area clean. Thank you very much to all the Lifewater staff. The repaired well will help us a lot and we have our well back again with the new pump. Thank you again and God bless you all. Jean Claudius, Well Caretaker
