A message from the community

Dear Sir,

We are forever grateful for this village well.  There are at least 1500 people who regularily access this well and when it is not working we all suffer.

For over a year we had no safe water in our village because the well and pump were badly worn and broken and could not be fixed.

We are so thankful for the faithful Lifewater crew that come to fix the well, put on a new pumps, clean the water and make it safe for us to drink again. We offer our heartfelt thanks to all of you their partners for the good work that they do.

Sincerely

Willy, Well Caretaker

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

This pump was completely worn out and has been replaced.  The pad however was in good condition and was left intact. The well was cleaned-out, pumped until the water ran clear again and then chlorinated to make it safe to drink.
