Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

This town located in Cocoyah District Bong County has only one hand pump and well drilled a long time ago by Lifewater. Criminals stole the pump head from it. So the community went back to their old source for water, the nearby creek. Some people have also been buying water for drinking or going far distances for almost 30-45 minutes’ walk to get clean water for their domestic uses. On many days, kids (because they must fetch water) will not arrive at school in time or they will stay home -- especially young girls during the time when they are going through their (menstrual) cycle (because there is no water at the school for hand-washing or other sanitation needs). Upon the repairs of the well, the community leader extended thanks to Lifewater for restoring their hope and reducing their suffering for water.
