We, the people of Alh. Gambo village, appreciate you for the water well provided for our community. We are very happy and we are saying thank you. May God almighty continue to bless you in Jesus' name. Community Leaders
Alh. Gambo is a village in Masaka, a densely populated urban slum that shares boundaries with the Nigerian capital city of Abuja. To meet their water needs, residents depended on private wells from which vendors sold water or on shallow hand-dug wells from which the water was often unsafe. A scarcity of water is much worse in crowded slums. There have been cases of girls being sexually molested while trying to carry home a bucket of water. Thanks to Lifewater Canada donors, Alh. Gambo now has a new well providing safe and easily accessible water for which no one needs to pay. The villagers were excited and kept thanking Lifewater Canada for the donation and show of love.
