A message from the community

We take this time to tell Lifewater thank you for your good work towards our community. We appreciate you for giving us safe drinking water which everyone is benefiting from and which is helping to prevent us from getting running stomach (diarrhea). For this reason, we highly appreciate Lifewater donors. May God bless them. Alfred Taynun, Town Chief

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Situated in Margibi County, this community is a beneficiary of Lifewater's 2015 water projects that resulted in several wells being drilled in the area. Unfortunately, several months ago, the hand-powered pumps on some of the wells began failing from longtime use. People had no option but to go back to old potentially contaminated hand-dug wells and creeks. But thanks to our donors, Lifewater was able to return to the area recently and repair the broken hand pumps, including this one, to ensure that safe and accessible water is flowing again. The locals extended their thanks and appreciation to the team for repairing their pumps.
