A message from the community

Calvary greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus. We express our sincere gratitude and appreciation. May the Lord almighty bless you all in His riches and glory. Amen. Marcus Sunday (Church secretary)

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Ibwa is in Nigeria's Gwagwalada Area Council with over 3,000 residents. Ibwa's ECWA church and surrounding community had several water wells but the hand pumps were broken so people were forced to gather water from open streams or from shallow hand-dug wells that are often contaminated. Local politicians promised to fix the hand pumps but nothing happened. This sparked mistrust between the community and government, and led many Ibwa residents to be skeptical when Lifewater arrived. We promised, thanks to our donors, to drill a new water well and to repair the hand pumps on several others. When we kept those promises, we gave the community abundant water and renewed hope.
