A message from the community

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

The people of Guda Yeskwa have been suffering from a lack of good water for the past two decades. Their deep water wells broke down at least three years ago, leaving the population dependent on shallow hand-dug wells and on a contaminated stream. Women and children would wake up as early as 4:00 a.m. to fetch water from the community stream or risk the having no water for their families. Many children have had to attend school without ever taking a bath. When residents saw a Lifewater truck passing through their community, they pleaded with us to come to their aid. We responded by replacing the hand pumps and doing other rehabilitation work on two water wells, including this one. The community thanked Lifewater for the repair team's quick action, and prayed that God will continue to provide resources and will bless the supporters of these projects.
