The lack of basic sanitation facilities in Angwan Mayo had resulted in an unhealthy environment in the community, with both soil and water contaminated by human waste. There was significant risk of infection for children and adults.  

Thanks to our donors, Lifewater built a public toilet in Angwan Mayo that is serving the entire community. One resident, Abubakar, told us he and his neighbors are very thankful to Lifewater: "We appreciate your organization for covering our nakedness. Now we can relieve ourselves without the fear and shame of open defecation."
