Muluko Primary School students, teachers, and parents wish to thank Lifewater Canada for enabling our school to harvest more water by providing a rainwater harvesting and storage tank. Also, thank you for the handwashing station which provides a nice place to wash our hands. |

Project Summary |
||||||||||||||||||
Muluku Primary School has 45 students. The school would rely on on parents to bring water to class because the students are too young to go out in search of it. This added responsibility on parents imposed more pressure on their already difficult lives. Recently, Lifewater Canada donors provided a rainwater catchment system which includes a large 10,000-litre storage tank and handwashing station. The system, says Ruth Munyoki, a parent and teacher, is providing water even during the dry seasons to ensure school activities can continue. “The system is a relief to parents who could use more time in their already busy lives," she adds. "And our young students are doing even better.” |
