I write to appreciate Lifewater for rehabilitating our well in Kuyanbana. This well is the only source of water in our community; thus, we sincerely appreciate your effort. -- Village Secretary |

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

Kuyanbana is an extension of the fast-growing Sabon Wuse community. Many people have taken advantage of the community's proximity to the capital city of Abuja because of its low cost of living. As the population has grown, so has the demand for water. We already replaced the pumps on two wells, but recently, the pump on Kuyanbana's other well failed. This forced many people to begin relying on unsafe water from nearby ponds, open hand-dug wells, and sometimes water vendors. The limited access to safe water was also causing in-fighting and conflicts among residents. Thanks to our donors, Lifewater returned to the community and replaced the pump on the third well so safe water is flowing again from all three. There was lots of joy in Kuyanbana afterward. People were grateful to the donors for giving them water and bringing peace to their community. |
