A message from the community

We want to sincerely thank you for heeding our appeal to repair our water well pump. It is now functioning efficiently, enabling us to have a stable water supply. Once again, thank you very much. -- Leonard Oricho, Community Leader

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

When the hand pump on the well at Orongo Secondary School in Kisumu County broke down recently, it forced the 358 students to begin walking to and from a lake to gather water for their drinking and sanitation needs. This lake water isn't safe, so it put everyone at risk of waterborne diseases and infections. Thanks to Lifewater Canada donors, the hand pump has been repaired and safe, accessible water from the school's well is available to all the students and staff again.
