Project Summary |
||||||||||||||||||
The new well in Alendu is at the work compound of STADA, a non-government organization with which Lifewater Canada partners to drill wells and many other water projects in Kenya. Because of its centralized location, the well is accessible to more than 600 grateful Alendu residents, many of whom previously had to draw their water from contaminated rivers or a reservoir. The entire community, but especially the women and girls who had to walk to and from the rivers and reservoir with heavy jugs of water, are grateful for their new source of safe and easily accessible water. |
