A message from the community

Karombe Primary School expresses gratitude to Lifewater Canada, its partners, and the repair team for repairing our broken well pump and restoring water to our school and community. We are so blessed by you. -- Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

When the hand-powered pump on their well failed four months ago, and all the harvested rainwater had been used up, the 760 students plus staff at Karombe Primary School in Kisumu County were forced to begin drawing water from shallow hand-dug wells and the nearest rivers. The school and surrounding community are well aware of the health dangers of consuming this unsafe water but desperate times called for desperate measures. Thanks to our donors, Lifewater visited recently and quickly repaired the pump -- restoring the flow of safe water to Karombe Primary School students and their nearby families.
