A message from the community

On behalf of Ofunyu community, we take this opportunity to thank you for repairing our well which has been having defaults for quite some time. -- Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Ofunyu community in Kisumu County has about 500 residents who relied on a local well for their water needs. When the well's hand-powered pump broke down, it created a water scarcity and led many children and adults to begin drinking from a nearby river although its water was unsafe for human consumption. Thanks to our donors, Lifewater repaired the pump and restored the flow of clean water so residents are safe from the diseases they risked catching from the river.
