A message from the community

We write to appreciate your kindness and support to our church and the entire ministry of God in this particular area. Our word may not be able to thank you enough. We pray, may almighty God continue to bless and strengthen you.

   -- Danjuma Musa, Community Leader

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Members of this church and nearby residents had no community toilet so people practiced open defecation. This resulted, especially during the rainy season when surface water flows everywhere, in widespread sickness. Also, because women and girls would often wait until after dark to defecate so they had more privacy, many were harassed and/or sexually exploited.

Thanks to our donors, ECWA Kokogbe church and the surround community now have public toilets and a handwashing station. Children and adults are living healthier lives, and girls and women have much more safety and dignity. Residents asked us to thank Lifewater donors for "this noble gesture and kindness."

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
