A message from the community

Jikase community members wish to express our sincere gratitude to Lifewater Canada for funding the repair of our water pump. It has been 10 months without water near our homes. This demonstration of love means so much to us.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

All 600 residents of Jikase community in Kisumu County relied on a local well for their water. When the hand-powered pump on the well failed 10 months ago, everyone had to resort to unsafe water sources including nearby rivers. This put many children and adults at risk of contracting waterborne diseases. But thanks to our donors, Lifewater Canada has repaired the pump to ensure safe water is available to every Jikase resident.

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
