A message from the community |

I want to say thank you very much to the Lifewater donors who gave us this well. Even with this country so very bad now and with all of its (political and economical unrest, violence and other) problems, Lifewater continues to drill water wells! In these last month's struggles to stay alive, the only thing that has made all of us happy in our community is the well. We are very appreciative. Know that we will continue to ask God to keep all the Lifewater workers safe when they travel. We will continue pray that you can always help the Haitian people because we have lots of need for water. Thank you again. God bless you, -- Dorcime Guerline, Well Caretaker (trained and equipped by Lifewater) |

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

There are about 1,000 children and adults in Buclere Village. All of them badly needed their own water source. Some would buy from vendors while others risked their safety during Haiti's current political and economic unrest by walking twice each day to a well in a village about 20 minutes away. The line-up at that well was almost always very long. But thanks to our donors, Lifewater drilled a well recently in Buclere Village that is providing safe and easily accessible water to everyone. |
