We used to have lot of difficulties to find some water. That used to cause us a lot of suffering. We can live sometimes with no food, but we can’t live without water! This new well will change our life completely for the whole the community. Thank you, Lifewater. Zabitan Village is quite large, with about 1,500 people. There weren't enough local water sources so many children and adults had to walk about 25 minutes each day to a well in a neighbouring community. The line-ups for this well were long, so the entire round-trip -- including carrying heavy water containers on the way home -- usually took hours. This kept children from being in school and adults from caring for their families.

The new well in Zabitan Village, provided by generous Lifewater Canada donors, is ensuring that everyone in the community has easy access to safe water.
