A message from the community

We appreciate you for repairing our water well pump. Thank you so much. You have saved us from the frustrations of not having water.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

There are 350 children and adults in the village of Kaagai in Kisumu County who rely on a local well as their safe water supply. When the hand pump on that well broke down 16 months ago, those who could afford it began buying water from expensive vendors. But most children and adults had to resort to fetching water from the rice fields -- water that wasn't safe for human consumption, and that led to waterborne diseases among many community members.

Lifewater Canada responded by, with the help of our donors, repairing the broken hand pump and restoring safe water to the community.

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
