About 250 children and adults living in Kondaga, in Kisumu County didn't have access to safe water for two months after the hand pump on their community well stopped working. Everyone had to resort to other sources, including water from rice fields that is contaminated and therefore unsafe for consumption. To save the community from a disastrous situation, Lifewater Canada repaired the hand pump recently and restored the community's access to safe water. |
