We thank Lifewater for our new well. Before, the whole community suffered untold hardship, which claimed many lives both young and old because of diseases ranging including typhoid and malaria. Our community had a shallow hand-dug well which dried up every January and February. Then, community members dug into the ground in search of water. Today, joy, happiness, and smiles have been put on the faces of many families who no longer go in search of water. We as a community say thank you to Lifewater for saving lives in our community. -- Alice Bazakare, Community Leader
Paliabata is a village that had wells but they weren't providing enough water to meet everyone's needs. Some residents were forced to draw contaminated water from the nearest river. When the dry season comes, this river slows to a trickle -- leaving people with no choice but to dig into the riverbed in search of water. Recently, Lifewater visited Paliabata and drilled a new well that is providing lots of safe, easily accessible water in the community. Residents' happiness seemed to be limitless as they prayed that God will abundantly bless our donors!
