A message from the community

We appreciate Lifewater for bringing our dreams to reality. Indeed, we are grateful. We promise to take care of the well so we will continue to have good drinking water.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Gami Village Paiko settlement's only access to water used to require a journey to a distant river -- conducted at night when area cattle and other livestock weren't drinking from it, and defecating in it. This journey was long, dangerous, and tiring. The water brought back to Gami Village Paiko was also so contaminated with bacteria that it made many people sick. Therefore, villagers expressed lots of gratitude when Lifewater, thanks to our donors, drilled a local well and ended their suffering.
