We write to thank Lifewater for the kind gesture of drilling a well in our community. We have suffered with a lack of water for the past years but today, Lifewater intervened and we can now enjoy clean water for drinking and cooking. We are thankful, and we pray that God almighty will bless your organization and provide you with unlimited resources. -- Bako Yelwa, Community Leader |

Project Summary |
||||||||||||||||||
The residents of Yelwa Izom Village would endure acute water shortages throughout the dry season year after year. During these times, those few who could afford it would buy water from expensive local vendors. Everyone else would walk to and from a distant river, knowing the water they brought home was putting them at risk of potentially deadly diarrheal diseases. But recently, thanks to our donors, Lifewater drilled a well in the community that is bringing everyone safe water. It is also bringing great joy and renewed hope in the face of the region's periodic droughts. |
