A message from the community

We thank Lifewater for the construction of a water well at our school. We sincerely appreciate the idea, because it has put smiles on the faces of our pupils and teachers as well as the community at large. May God keep you for better development in our country.

  -- Garba, School Secretary

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

With no nearby source of water, students at LEA School Chukuku had to walk to open streams or hand-dug wells -- neither of which provide water that is consistently safe. The time needed to gather the water, and the periods when children were sick from the water, kept them out of the classroom. But recently, thanks to our donors, Lifewater drilled a well at the school that is providing enough safe water for all the students and staff. The girls and boys are enjoying improved health and academic performance.
