A message from the community

We express our profound appreciation to Lifewater for its humanitarian services. The provision of a water well, at no cost to us, will go a long way in addressing our frequent water supply challenges. May the Lord bless you.

  -- Rev. Joshua Duniya

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Children and adults at ECWA Goodnews Church and in the surrounding community of Kubwa had to walk for hours each day to gather water for their drinking and sanitation needs. The time needed for this back-straining task kept children out of school and parents from dealing with other household responsibilities. Worse yet, the water they brought home was usually contaminated, causing young and old to become sick.

The new well we drilled, thanks to Lifewater Canada donors, has led to a very welcome new normal for residents. Children have more time to focus on their schoolwork, and young and old are enjoying improved health.
