The Ndithi Secondary School community is deeply grateful for the new well. It is one of the very few and greatly scattered wells in our vast region. We are grateful for this blessing. -- Community Leaders |

Project Summary |
||||||||||||||||||
Ndithi Secondary School is in one the poorest and driest areas in Kenya's Mwingi region. Students at the school and families living in the surrounding community would often spend several hours walking to and from the nearest water sources -- all of them far away. The time needed for this daily task kept girls and boys from being in school, and parents from other important tasks. But recently, Lifewater Canada donors funded the drilling of a well and installation of a hand-powered pump that are providing safe and easily accessible water to young and old in the community. About 400 grateful people are benefiting. |
