Dear Sir/Madame We thank the Lifewater team and all the supporters for the new well you drilled for us. We know how hard it is to work in Haiti now, but you are still here and we ask God to keep you all safe. This well will help us a lot, and we are all grateful to stop spending so much money on our drinking water. Everything is so tough now that any penny we can save will help us purchase other basic supplies and keep our children in school. We all say thank you again to Lord and everyone who make it happen for us. Thank you Roselene Maxime Well Caretaker
This community has about 600 people residing in it. Approximately 500 will use this new well regularly. On average we spend about 750 goudes per week ($6.50 CDN) to get safe water to drink. Most can't afford that and walk about 20 minutes to the next village for their water, a couple of times a day.
