A message from the community

Dear Sir/Madame The well will make our lives so much easier. Some people triedy to drill well in the community but most of them are salty. Lifewater give us good water that we can drink with no problem. Thank you very much for now our children will have a better health, Duenel Florestal Well Caretaker

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

About 1000 people life in this village with 800 regularly accessing this new well for their water. Before the well was drilled, they would walk about 40 min twice a day for water from a neighbouring village. That caused big problems as people needed to go very early and now it is not too safe in Haiti now to go to fetch water early in the morning or late in the afternoon so we need to take some men with us. Now with the well the women can get water with no problem, and we are thankful. Those that could afford it would spend up to 500 Goudes weekly purchasing safe drinking water ($4.50 CDN)
