We the people of Pita Community Gwam wish to express our deepest appreciation to Lifewater for rehabilitating our community well. For the past three years, the well has been faulty. Thank you to your organization for coming when the community needed your help and services most.

Yusuf is from Pita Community Gwam, where children and adults had to drink from a distant stream after their local well stopped working.

"Our children fell sick with diarrhea after drinking from the dirty stream, and our women who walked two kilometres to the stream to fetch the water ended up having chest and body pains," Yusuf told us. "This stream is often shared with cattle so the water is not clean." 

With the rehabilitation of their well, including the installation of a new hand pump, safe water is now available to everyone in the community again. Residents thanked Lifewater and our donors for the well rehabilitation.
