A message from the community

Our hand pumps on communal wells were all broken, leaving the whole community to struggle to get clean water. Today, we are happy and thankful to have clean and safe water. Thank you for the pump repairs. ---Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Children began missing classes and women began missing income-earning time after the hand pumps on the four wells serving Yellow Building community stopped working and everyone had to go out in search of water. The only available source was an open well three kilometres away. The walk to and from this source was time-consuming and tiring. And sadly, the water brought back was dirty, so it caused young and old to become sick with diarrheal or other illnesses. But recently, Lifewater and Service to Servants visited Yellow Building community and, thanks to our donors, repaired the broken pumps, including this one. The grateful community has safe water again.
