The hand pump repair on the well in 72nd Barracks community is what restored the well to its former glory as well as restoring the flow of clean water in the community. For two years, the well was dormant because its hand pump failed, and the community would rely on a shallow well to supply them with water. However, Lifewater Canada ensured clean water is flowing in the community again, by funding the repair of the broken hand pump.
