When the four hand pumps on the Galai village stopped working, one pump at time, there was fear that the shortage of water would spark conflict among community members as competition for clean water sources increased. Eventually though, all the four hand pumps stopped working and the residents were afraid that they would get sick from drinking unsafe water. Thankfully, Lifewater and Service to Servants repaired all the broken hand pumps, making clean water not just enough and accessible for everyone, but also curbing competition and possible conflict amongst residents. |
