A message from the community

We, the people of Lofa community, wish to say a big thank you to Lifewater Canada and Lifewater Liberia for providing a new well and a hand pump for our community. We promise to take good care of the hand pump that you have given us.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Lofa village in Liberia's Montserrado county is vast and relatively populated, but with scarce resources such as clean water sources. Community members would collect water from sources such as hand dug wells. These sources are not usually clean but the community did not have a clean source of water either. But not anymore, because, Lifewater Canada and Lifewater Liberia partnered to drill a new well for the community and install a new hand pump. The communal well is serving over three hundred people.
