Women and girls were relieved to have a working hand pump, after our team fixed their broken hand pump. The community of LPRC had zero access to clean water after the hand pump stopped working. The situation forced women and girls to walk for several kilometers to collect water from other sources. But our donors funded the repair of the community’s broken hand pump, so clean water is easily accessible to all.
