A message from the community

Teachers, parents, and students at Kango Primary School are very grateful the new state-of-the-art latrines at our school. We appreciate the effort Lifewater Canada and Stada Kenya are making to ensure that we live healthy lives.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Kango Primary School in Kisumu County has 325 students. As enrollment has increased, so has demand on the school's toilets -- making it very difficult for everyone to maintain good hygiene practices. Because they were old, there was a also growing risk that the toilets might collapse someday with one or more students inside. Unfortunately, the community is desperately poor so residents couldn't afford to upgrade the school's sanitation facilities.

But thanks to our donors, Lifewater Canada, in partnership with STADA Kenya, has built new toilets and hand-washing stations at the school. Students are grateful for this important step in improving their hygiene and providing a safer environment in which to learn.

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
